Rev. Tim Sims currently serves as the Campus Pastor for Elizabeth Baptist Church Douglasville under the Senior Leadership of Dr. Craig L. Oliver Sr. at Elizabeth Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia. Since the inception of the One Church Multi-Location Model, he’s been an active member of the Collaborative Preaching Team (CPT) ministering across the metro Atlanta Area.
Rev. Sims is a native of Jackson, Georgia where he received his education from the Butts County School System. Upon graduating high school in 2001, he navigated to Fort Valley, Georgia, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Fort Valley State University. Rev. Sims is also 2011 Graduate of Mercer University where received a dual degree in Religion and Liberal Studies. Currently, he attends Luther Rice Theological Seminary in pursuit of a dual Masters in Christian Studies and Divinity. He is an active member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity in which he was appointed and currently holds an Executive Office position as the State Chaplain for Georgia.
Since the tender age of 7, Rev. Sims has been very active & involved in the Music & Youth Ministries of the church and he credits his parents, for the foundation they laid for him in understanding the value of a Christ centered lifestyle. When Rev. Sims accepted his calling to ministry under the leadership of his father Pastor Harry D. Sims, he prayed to God to partner him with mentors that would guide and assist him in being effective to reaching lost souls for Christ. Today he is still amazed that God answered his prayer by connecting him with Dr. Craig L. Oliver Sr. and the Elizabeth Baptist Church and today he remains a faithful member ministering to the masses each and every week.
He is married to his college sweetheart Ashanti of Atlanta, Georgia & together they’ve been blessed with 3 children; Tyler, Ansley, and Tucker.
