Housing Assistance
Rent + Utilities support for EBC Members impacted by Government Shutdown. Eligibility = Proof of Furlough or Lay Off
Food Pantry Expansion
Open three days each week during shutdown for those who have lost SNAP benefits. Eligibility = Proof of Lost Benefits
Family Adoption (Toiletries)
Members adopt an EBC member family for 2–4 weeks of essentials.
Ways to Help
In-Kind Donations accepted at the Pantry entrance — canned vegetables, canned meats, pasta, rice, peanut butter, cereal, toilet paper, toothpaste, soap, diapers, wipes, and laundry detergent.
How It Works
Step 1: Receive Request
EBC Cares receives your Operation Uplift submission.
Step 2: Assign a Generosity Ambassador
A trained non-staff Ambassador is assigned to connect with you, confirm your details, and walk beside you through the process.
Step 3: Verify Documents
Your Ambassador helps ensure your documentation is complete—such as proof of furlough, SNAP/EBT loss, or current bill..
Step 4: Assign Support
Based on your need, you’re connected to the right support path—Housing Assistance, Food Pantry, or Family Adoption.
Step 5: Update Household
The Care Team and Ambassador keep your household informed as assistance is approved or delivered.
