Housekeeper (Environmental Services) Part-time Weekend and Evenings

Elizabeth Baptist Church (EBC) is looking for a proficient and dependable person to serve as Housekeeper maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the facilities where needed and/or assigned while ensuring the functionality and safety of all EBC owned and operated facilities.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Two years or more work experience in commercial facilities capacity
  • Valid Georgia driver’s license
  • Reliable mode of transportation and able to drive Georgia’s interstate system
  • Dependable and timeliness with ability to independently or within a team setting
  • Ability to use a ladder and work at a height of 7 feet.
  • Able to lift up to 25 pounds on to a material cart or table
  • Capable of bending at the waist and knees and work in tight areas

Job Knowledge:

  • Familiar with usage of generalized floor cleaning equipment bucket and mop, etc.
  • Advanced knowledge of cleaning products and handling blood borne pathogens and body fluids
  • Knowledgeable of Microsoft Excel and Outlook

Reports To: Director of Pastoral Administration Events & Planning

Principal Function: Provides administrative support under the supervision to Director of Pastoral Administrations Events &Planning assisting in administering church calendar, facility schedules, operational forms, staff meetings, special events and other administrative duties in a professional manner.

Responsibilities: • Generate excellent customer service by returning and following up with calls and e-mails within 24 hours.
• Document detail communication reports for Events Dept.
• Prepares and/or generates routine department reports, correspondence, letters, memoranda, forms, monthly reports, and other documents applying proofreading and editing skills.
Receives, reviews, routes and/or processes office forms, event program planning packets, requests, reports, files and other documents.
• Maintain and update facility scheduler with department’s calendar of event dates weekly.
• Responsible for processing and filing administrative request forms, generating weekly/monthly reports of event program planning packets, input evaluations and attendance at events.
• Maintain a file for all administrative request forms for processing and archiving. Update event forms as needed.
• Coordinates Event Planning Packets, Debrief Forms, Basecamp, and Share Point administration for onsite and offsite events.
• Coordinates departmental, special events, projects and tasks that may require a volunteer team.
• Coordinate front desk volunteers for weddings and funerals held on the weekends.
• Enrolled in a life group study and attends worship service.
• Provides professional communication at all times with supervisor and staff in a manner of Christ likeness.
• Perform other duties assigned in a professional and team spirit manner. Work Hours
• Monday - Thursday 12:00pm - 7:00pm (Part Time)

Title:Worship & Arts Administrative Assistant 

Reports to: Director of Worship & Arts

Hours:Part-Time (Flexible Schedule) or Full-Time

Staff Responsibilities:

Provides administrative and record keeping support to the Director of Worship & Arts and all entities within the Worship & Arts Division.

 Purpose of Position:  

Administrative Assistants ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of the office, and support the work of management and other staff.

Principal Responsibilities:

Administrative Assistants perform a wide range of duties including some or all of the following:

Reception

  • Answer general phone inquiries using a professional and courteous manner
  • Direct phone inquiries to the appropriate staff members
  • Reply to general information requests with the accurate information
  • Greet clients/suppliers/visitors to the organization in a professional and friendly manner

General Ministry Protocols:

  • Respond to ALL supervisor communications punctually. 
  • Do what is best for the mission of the Elizabeth Baptist Church at all times. 
  • Love all worship services and always do what’s best for the EBC worship service.
  • Be early to the office, all meetings, worship services or anything that is on your schedule – as well as stay the full time.
  • Assist other staff in task/ministries as assigned
  • Complete task assigned to you by deadline
  • Have a positive, worshipful “whatever it takes” attitude
  • Maintain a vital and growing personal walk with the Lord through committed Bible study and prayer.
  • Be organized, efficient, committed to time maximization and able to manage your list of responsibilities 
  • Work while you are at work (be focused, not working on personal tasks, etc.)
  • Set specific goals for your area that are easily measured on a weekly basis
  • Add value to every task that you work on, every meeting you attend and every request made of you
  • Pray daily for the people who serve on your teams

Specific Duties:

  • Manage and maintain Ministry Director schedules. It is REQUIRED to always keep the Director of Worship & Arts prepared at MINIMUM 90 days out from all required events & departmental schedules.
  • Read and analyze incoming memos, submissions, and reports in order to determine their significance and plan their distribution.
  • Open, sort, and distribute incoming correspondence, including faxes and email.
  • File and retrieve corporate documents, records, and reports.
  • Greet visitors and determine whether they should be given access to specific individuals.
  • Prepare responses to correspondence containing routine inquiries.
  • Perform general office duties such as ordering supplies, maintaining records management systems, and performing basic bookkeeping work.
  • Prepare agendas and make arrangements for committee, board, and other meetings.
  • Make travel arrangements for Director’s.
  • Compile, transcribe, and distribute minutes of meetings.
  • Attend meetings in order to record minutes.
  • Meet with individuals, special interest groups and others on behalf of Director’s.
  • Prepare invoices, reports, memos, letters, financial statements and other documents, using word processing, spreadsheet, database, and/or presentation software. (However, NOTHING goes out without prior approval & signature of Director of Worship & Arts)
  • Set up and oversee administrative policies and procedures for offices and/or organizations.
  • Supervise and train other clerical and administrative staff for individual units.
  • Review operating practices and procedures in order to determine whether improvements can be made in areas such as workflow, reporting procedures, or expenditures.
  • Interpret administrative and operating policies and procedures for employees.

Skills:

  • MANAGE PATHWAYS- data entry of all new members, call new prospects for choir and praise team , run monthly attendance reports, update rosters , communicate to groups, send birthday cards to everyone in department ,manage group structure
  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.

Education/Qualifications: 

  • 2 years Vocational Certificate or Associates Degree in Business Administration. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.  
  • Well diverse in Microsoft Office, Spreadsheets and Mapping

 

Ministry & Fellowship Administrative Assistant
